Residual oxygen measuring devices for welding technology determine the residual oxygen content in protective gas atmospheres (argon/forming gas), which are primarily used in welding processes but in the TIG process.
For the quality and corrosion resistance of weld seams on components made primarily of stainless steel, it is absolutely necessary to create an atmosphere that is as oxygen-free as possible in the area of the welding zone. A residual oxygen measuring device ensures that this atmosphere is measured before, during and after the welding process, ideally measuring values of less than 70 ppm (parts per million) in order to achieve the desired result
